What will the Jersey Shore cast look like in 25 years?

Avalon Beach PatrolThere is nothing like high quality programming on television.  Is there anything more substantial to our kids’ development than that of the Jersey Shore?  I think not.  This is the most profound piece of literary work since Shakespeare.   Sesame Street should take notes from this show.

I am like the 38 billion people out there watching this train wreck of a show – The Jersey Shore.  They have a collection of guys and girls who spend their summers at the Jersey Shore acting like guidos and guidettes (some of the cast isn’t even one lick Italian, which is awesome).

The Top Five Ugliest Sportscaster in the Whole Wide World

WTF? Does anyone know what this is from? What a great day in Philadelphia sports yesterday.  That was two Sunday’s in a row with an Eagles win AND a Phillies win. 

This city is brewing with confidence. 

I keep reminding the kids that I work with how awesome they have it.  For my prime time drinking years (ages 16-30) we had exactly ONE post season appearance in baseball.  I didn’t even know how to conduct myself when the Phillies went to their first World Series in 15 years in 2008 (and subsequently won).  Then they followed it up with a return trip to the World Series last year.

Has Entourage run its course?

My friend Kevin asked me the other day: If you are a fat comedian,  could you remain funny to people if lose a ton of weight?

I would have to say no.  Can you imagine if Laurel and Hardy were two skinny guys?  What If Curly from the Three Stoogies was skinny or Norm from Cheers? Can you even fathom a skinny Newman from Seinfeld? 

What if Chris Farley was skinny? 

Let’s face it -  Fat is Funny.

TV in Hotel Rooms

Walt is back on the road again for work and he doesn’t miss this.  My hotel room last night didn’t have the Flyers-Bruins game (not that it mattered) and it only has Showtime. 

The weird part about Showtime is for some reason the voice/dialogue and the action are not matching up.  There seems to be about a 2 or 3 second delay in the dialogue so it is hard to follow.  I actually got dizzy trying to watch it last night.

Jon and Kate Plus Eight

This website is a three headed monster. I do most of the writing and my boys Kevin and Mark essentially run the website. All of those funny pictures are Mark’s doing and Kevin is relentless pimping the site out all over God’s creation.

One member of this little posse is getting married this weekend. Kevin will officially be off the market. It will be a sad day in Roxborough. Flags will be flying at half mass and all the chick’s ages 14 to 75 will be lining Ridge Avenue dressed in black from head to toe.

RIP single Kevin! You better get all of your streaking out of the way now buddy because life changes oh so quickly.
