Top 15 Television Shows of the 2000’s

Here are the ground rules for ranking the top 15 television shows. The majority of the shows life had to occur within that decade. It may have been created in 1999 but the life of the really was last decade (if not the whole thing) or the show was created in the decade and continues to run in this decade.
Without further hesitation:
Philly inspired, Philly funny15) Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia – I don’t have to say much about this show, it is absolutely hysterical.
14) South Park – I know this show was created in the 1990’s but the show really seemed to take on a life of its own in the 2000’s. From 2000 through 2007, I didn’t miss an episode and it drove wifesense crazy (proving that it is a great show, because her taste is HORRIBLE). Cartman preparing for the Special Olympics changed my life forever.
After I get blown up, defuse a bomb, do my hair, and save the president, I will come back and stare at you. You will love it.13) 24 – I actually don’t watch this show, but everyone that does raves about it, so I couldn’t leave it off the list. Every one that follows this show tells me the same thing; it is like watching a movie every week. That is a pretty good compliment. I have trouble watching shows that are an hour long. It is too exhausting and I tend to give up to easy. I don’t want to have use my brain too much. I do not have an intellectual bone in my body. Besides how much shit can happen to one guy in his lifetime? This guy has stopped 27 nuclear wars from happening, prevented 424 terrorist plots/attacks and saved the President’s life at least 14 times, all in a week’s span. And the government hates him for it.
12) Lost – I don’t watch this show either. I think it is a really creative idea and the writers are awesome. Once the black cloud appeared on the island, I was done. They LOST me forever. Get it? They LOST me. Seriously, I do not know how people watch this show and actually work the next day. My brain is fried after the show is over. I need someone to spoon feed me oatmeal for at least a week when it is over. I cannot afford that. PS – I like spoons, and oatmeal.
Vince doing what every dude wishes he could do if famous and rich11) Entourage – This show would be higher on the list, but the show seems to getting stale. They need something different to happen. It seems like the same cycle. I started hating this show once his career took a turn for the worst. Listen, I watch this show to see hot chick naked and these guys living the life normal folks can only dream about. Seriously, I do not need to see this guy go through the same struggles I go through. Show more hot naked chicks, would ya!
10) 30 Rock – This show is getting funnier and funnier. I find Tina Fey sexy for some reason. She cracks me up, and I rarely say that about women. Alec Baldwin and Tracy Morgan are hilarious.
Great comedy and writing; hopefully a great movie9) Arrested Development – I am not sure why this show didn’t catch on. The cast was nothing short of amazing and the show was hysterical. I don’t get America some times.
8) The Office – Dwight may be the best character on television. I can watch re-runs of this show nonstop.

Screw MJ, Chappelle went way before his time. RIP Rick James7) The Chappelle Show – The Prince skit, the Rick James skit and the white power skit may have been the funniest television I have ever watched. Every time I see one of those skits I cry laughing.
6) The Sopranos – This seemed to go up and down. One year I loved it, the next I hated it. Overall, this show was riveting. The more I think about it, the more I love the ending.
Ricky Geris is filthy rich for a reason...watch the UK shows (no Jim) 5) The Office (BBC) version – Ricky Gervais is a comedic genius. His character on this show is so over the top funny. If you watch The Office and you haven’t seen this yet, do yourself a favor and go rent it. You won’t regret it.
4) Extras – This show was hysterical. I know people don’t care for British humor, but this show was too funny to ignore. His agent (Steve Merchant) was the second best character ever on HBO. The fact that his arch-nemesis makes it big and his career flounders steers it away from the norm, and I love it!
Your humor may suck if don't like this show. Jerry must pray to Larry everyday3) Curb Your Enthusiasm – Larry David proves who the real talent behind Seinfeld was. This show seems to be getting better and better.
2) The Wire – This may have been the best show ever and the best written show ever. The only hour long television show I couldn’t wait to see. There is only one problem. The writers didn’t think to include Kenny Powers. They should have thought of a way to include him.
My number 1 show:
Kenny is coming back which is an ass whupping good decision1) Eastbound and Down – I know this show was only on for one season, but that season was MAGICAL. Seriously, I may have to go out and buy Kenny Powers motivational tapes. The fact that Danny McBride throws like a girl makes this show that much more special.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It ended in 2003 so it still counts. You have to ignore season 4, which stunk, but otherwise I actually sat through and enjoyed each hour long episode. It's a chick show but my husband always asked me if anyone died at the end of each episode and who so I knew he was a closet fan, even though he thought Angel was a wuss.
looks like HBO could have a top ten. Deadwood, ROME, and 6 feet under where are great shows with excellent writing. Arrest Dev rocks and I can't believe u left of Gilmore Girls
What, no Scrubs!? Might be the best show of all time. Overall I agree with the list, but I'm wondering, how the hell do you have time to watch this much TV?! I guess the kids are pumping water out of your basement and mowing that massive lawn.
I agree with comment three.. where is scrubs?
Arrested Development totally rocked! The writing and acting was awesome. Too bad the series ended with a cliff hanger. I love, love 30 Rock and Curb. I never got hooked on Lost or 24.
Scrubs I really liked with the original characters. I don't like the new cast members.
Okay, Sopranos I'm with you on, but you pretty much hit shows that I don't watch. South Park, though, has moments of brilliance, including the Special Olympic episode you mentioned. The "Cartman Fakes Tourette's" one is great also.
MadMen and Sons of Anarchy
