People Who Dress Up Their Pets

This is a special breed of people. They take so much time and effort to coordinate their little pet outfits. They think it is so cute. Then they talk to their pets in their little baby voices, like the pets can understand them.

[In a Baby Voice] “Hey Fluffy, you are the cutest little dog in the whole wide world! Yes you are! My little snookie-wookums!

[In a Baby Voice] “Hey Snowball, you are the fluffiest little white cat in the universe! Yes you are! My little pumpkin pie!

[In a Baby Voice] “Hey Dog Owner, you are the most annoying dog owner in the whole wide world! Yes you are! My little geeky Mcgeekerson! Who wants to punch you in the face? The Waltdog does! Yes he does! Ah, you are so precious…

These people drive me crazy. They make me want to puke.

Seriously, you have nothing better to do than to go shopping, find a crazy ass outfit for you little purse dog? Then dress it up and prance it around like it was your child?

Better yet, some of these people waste hours upon hours knitting an outfit that consist of a wool hat, sweater and mittens for their dog/cat. Then they use the excuse that it is ‘cold outside’. Really, it is cold outside? I hadn’t noticed considering it is 75 degrees in the house. So why did you have to bring your dog to the grocery store again?

Instead of wasting all of your time and money dressing your pets, you should either invest in training your pets or buy a nice comfortable cage in your ‘warm’ house so the dog/cat has a place to hangout while you run your errands. Thus the pets won’t go dookie on your couch.

I would place this group of people in the same category as moms/dads that force their young daughters into beauty pageants. That is to say that they are completely insane and need to get help immediately. There are definitely a few screws loose.

You have issues my friend. You seriously need a hobby. I got an idea, why don’t you knit you and your husband a matching pair of sweaters? Oh wait, you already did that. Maybe you can start drinking, that always leads to good things.

“It rubs the lotion on its skin. It does this whenever it is told.”

“It rubs the lotion on its skin or it gets the hose again.”

“Now it places the lotion in the basket”

“Put the [bleeping] lotion in the basket”

“Don’t you hurt my dog…Precious!”

On a separate note, Wednesday was my son’s first birthday. So I felt it appropriate to give him a shout out! Happy Birthday little buddy! I am truly the luckiest guy around. He constantly cracks me up. He has the best smile and really keeps me going. He is the best!

I have only bought my dogs 2 sets of costumes to wear at a dog show and contest. Other than these competitions that require pets to dress up, I prefer them in their own skin. I also would like to think that they'd feel more comfortable without those dog clothes or costumes.
